Driot Associés Motor Sport was founded in Ruaudin, France (only 2 kilometres from the Bugatti Circuit) in 1988 by Jean-Paul Driot and René Arnoux. In 1989 they entered Formula 3000 and over the years since, they have been involved in A1 Grand Prix, Formula Renault and Formula Electric in addition to sports car racing via Le Mans and the Grand Tourer Championship.  Now owned by Charles Pic, the team now concentrate in Formula Two and Formula Three
